Synthesis of Landscapes : Volume Two of the Synthesis of time, place and flesh series

Synthesis of Landscapes - It started with a movie, a simple series of visuals with deep meaning behind every sentence, every word, every expression. Inside, my head rested on a field of dreams. The word ‘synthesis of flesh’ came to mind. I sketched it out, reshaped it, let it evolve. And somewhere in that process, I felt this quiet pull in my heart. Maybe it was reflecting what I’ve been trying to do more of in my life. To nurture myself more with love, gentleness, and ease. Love, nothing but love.I wondered, how do I pour this feeling into a painting? How do I synthesize love? So I let it happen. My intention fused with the form, and a new entity was born.I dump ideas everywhere in sketchbooks, my phone, random scraps of paper. Some fade, others linger until they call to me. When the time feels right, I flip through my sketches, see which one pulls at me the most, and let it take over. That’s how I choose, that’s how i know.It’s always a mystery to me, how this all works. I don’t fully understand it, and maybe I never will. There’s something else at play here, something beyond me. Call it source, call it imagination. Whatever it is, they arrive in flashes, somewhere between dreaming and waking. My mind fights to name them. ‘It’s a landscape, it’s an ocean.’ But they never quite fit into anything i know. So what are they? I have no answer for you. I just paint what I see in my imagination, what my soul sees beyond the reality we live in.The texts are excerpts from The book titled “The Mirror of My Heart: A Thousand Years of Persian Poetry by Women by Dick Davis”, I note down the verses I like, and imagine the characters living in the landscapes I paint, having conversations about love.The Synthesis of time, place and flesh is my artistic interpretation on moments, the moments of life that matter, the conversations we can’t let go of, and the nature we are surrounded by in that specific time and place - the smell of the air, how the wind felt, how bright the sun was. We always remember the eyes of those we love when we share the most beautiful and sometimes the ugliest moments, but they are ours to keep, and no one can take that away from us.
